a virtual hug 4.

I was reading a book that stated, “I’ve been running for so long, I just want to enjoy the feeling of standing still.”

This past weekend I had a chance to stop running….to sip a little slower. I went camping and it was truly the thing I didn’t know I needed to slow down. As I connected with like minded individuals for 24 hours in nature, I was reminded of the importance of filling the cup you consistency pour from and as cliche as it may sound, taking time to smell the roses.

Often we don’t get to enjoy the powerful moments of stillness because we are preoccupied preparing for the future and making it to payday. It’s disheartening that some days we seemingly have to choose between our well being and being able to afford our responsibilities. In this economy, if you don’t work, you don’t eat, but we have to intentionally and consistently seek balance.

So, this is your reminder to pause & ask yourself these questions.

  1. When was the last time you chose yourself?

  2. When was the last time you felt rested and energized?

  3. When was the last time you sat in silence?

Your life was divinely created and I think we owe it to God and ourselves to make sweeter, more meaningful memories. At this stage in my life, I’m understanding more and more the importance of everything in moderation and there’s a consequence for every action or inaction. The choice is really yours to treat yourself with a little of that grace you give overextend to others.

So consider this a virtual hug…. filled will relatability, love & a hand to walk with. I’m rooting for you

xoxo,

Crooked Magnolia
